Jennifer Preston joins City Academy as the first grade teacher with 9 years of teaching experience. She taught K-2 in Florida, where her family is from previous to living in Georgia. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of South Florida with further study at the Master’s Level in Curriculum and Instruction from Argosy University. Jennifer has been married to her husband, Aaron, for twenty years with whom she shares two daughters, Isabella and Hannah. Jennifer has homeschooled her girls for the past nine years and looks forward to sharing her love for learning with our first graders as her time as a homeschooling mom comes to a close. Isabella graduated Class of 2023 and Hannah is a junior at Metro Academic Studies.

Jennifer has been a faithful teacher and staff member in her church’s children’s ministry throughout her time as a homeschool mom, first in Florida and then in Decatur. In her free time, Jennifer enjoys hiking with her family and feeling the presence of our Lord in the quiet beauty of the mountains.
